ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

HISTORY

The Department of Architecture at the University of Hong Kong is one of Asia's leading institutions for architectural education and research. Founded in 1950, we have been at the forefront of developing innovative approaches to design education and practice.

Our curriculum balances professional practice with critical inquiry, preparing students for leadership roles in the field of architecture and related disciplines.

Specialises in sustainable design and green architecture. Research interests include urban sustainability and environmental design.
Prof. HELEN LI
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Expert in digital design and parametric architecture. Leads the Digital Fabrication Laboratory.
Dr. JAMES WONG
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Focus on heritage conservation and restoration. Director of the Heritage Research Centre.
